What We Do
At Friends of Suder, we believe that every child deserves the same opportunities to thrive. To make that vision a reality, we focus our efforts on fundraising that directly supports student enrichment, school-wide events, and teacher and staff appreciation.
Through our year-round initiatives, we raise critical funds, celebrate our community, and make Suder Montessori a place where all students can grow, explore, and succeed.
We enrich the student experience

Fundraising is at the heart of how we ensure Suder students have access to experiences beyond the classroom. With the support of our families, sponsors, and community, we help fund:
-
Back to School Bash – a joyful welcome into the school year
-
Nature’s Classroom – financial assistance for this beloved overnight trip in E2
-
Taste of Suder – a cultural potluck that celebrates our diverse school community
-
Fall Fest – a seasonal favorite with games, crafts, and fun for all ages
-
Step-Up & Graduation Celebrations – honoring student creativity and growth
We bring the school community together
We believe that a strong school is built on strong relationships. Our fundraising events are designed not just to raise money, but to build lasting bonds between families, staff, and students:
-
Parent Mixers – connecting caregivers and building community
-
Suder Sprint - our largest fundraiser and annual fun run
-
Suder Soirée – our annual spring gala and auction fundraiser
-
Earth Day Celebration & Clean-Up Days – engaging students in sustainability and service
-
Bake Sales– simple and sweet ways to support our work
-
Suder Swag Sales – school spirit that supports our mission
-

We support the teachers & staff

Behind every great student experience is a dedicated educator. Friends of Suder ensures our teachers and staff feel supported and appreciated:

-

Why it matters
We strive to create equitable opportunities for all students at Suder. The funds we raise help close gaps, remove barriers, and create a richer, more inclusive school experience. Every dollar, event, and volunteer hour moves us closer to a school where every child is seen, supported, and celebrated.
